Biology 14 is a new course designed to help students understand college and career pathways in Biology. It is taught by 3 fun Biology professors and our goal is to help students do their best in science courses.
Some of the topics we will cover are:
· Building community with students and faculty
· Successful study tips and the biology of learning
· Preparation for taking college science lab classes
· High paying science careers in the Bay Area
· Applying and transferring to universities with scholarships
· Field trip to a university and research biology laboratory
 
This class is for ANY student interested in exploring career pathways in biology and gaining relevant skills. There are no pre-requisites!

Biology majors who take this class are qualified to apply for the Biology Scholars Program and the prestigious $10,000 scholarship from the National Science Foundation. Biology Scholars may also take this class once admitted to the program.
